KATARA project is located in Doha, north from West Bay area. It spreads over 100 hectares and became a cultural center for art, crafts and educational organisations.
KATARA - South plaza project aims to accommodate more development without affecting the original design of the cultural village.

28th March 2018 marks a truly historic moment for Egis Doha Branch: signing Memorandum of Understanding between Qatar University & Louis Berger Egis Rail JV Joint Cooperation in the field of Internship and direct hire of Graduate students from Qatar University, Qatar Rail Project – Construction Management Services for Phase 1A Green Line Extension.
The MoU has been signed by Dr Omar Al-Ansari, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Belal Deiranieh, Sr. Vice President, Managing Director of Louis Berger Middle East and Alexandre Busson, Country Manager of Egis Qatar; and supported by His Excellency Eric Chevallier, Ambassador of France to Qatar.
This is a significant step towards supporting the local governmental bodies in the implementation of Qatarisation program. The parties believe that the cooperation will enable the exchange of knowledge and experience and establish the process of mentoring young professionals towards their ultimate careers.
Egis Qatar has always strongly supported the local youth programs, providing presentations for various schools and short internships for children. The signed MoU takes this to another level –a streamline of young professionals ready to take on new challenges at real life experience.
Corporate Social Responsibility is taken very seriously in Qatar, especially when it comes to the education.
Shortly after joining the presentation of French companies in Doha, offering some internship programs to students, Egis’ representative – Mathieu Croll, Programme Director for BU VRM took part in professionals forum at Lycee Bonaparte.
Over 200 students between 16 and 18 years old gathered to speak to professionals from various sectors of employment, from army, to hospitality, construction, management etc.
The idea is to give students a chance to speak to professionals before choosing the next educational institution and subsequently a career path.
During his visit to Qatar, Nicolas Jachiet, EGIS Group Chairman and CEO led the inauguration ceremony of the joint offices of Egis and Projacs in Qatar.
Projacs International joined Egis Group mid 2015. The creation of joint offices marks the trend of true collaboration and share of the services – the merger of knowledge and experience allows better understanding of the local market and broader provision of the services.
Mr Jachiet was also able to meet with French Ambassador to Qatar, Mr Eric Chevallier, as well as Senior Management from Qatar Rail.
Egis and Projacs International, also belonging to Egis Group and based in Kuwait organised a presentation of their professional services to the representatives of local authorities and other parties from engineering and construction markets.
The event took place in Four Seasons Hotel on 6th February and gathered the most important persons from the engineering sector. French Ambassador to Kuwait, Her Excellency Mme Marie Masdupuy, made an opening speech highlighting the importance of the business cooperation of Kuwait and France.
VIP speakers: Architect Naser Khraibut, Deputy Director General for Planning & Design at Public Authority for Housing Welfare and Mr Ahmad Al-Hassan, General Manager at Public Authority for Roads & Transportation, spoke about the development plans and the long term vision and goals for Kuwait, Dr Nabil Qaddumi, Projacs Partner and Board Director.
Finally, Mr Nicolas Jachiet, Egis Group Chairman and CEO presented the company’s profile and iconic projects successfully completed worldwide, followed by the presentations on the specific sectors: Rail and Urban Transport, Aviation, Road and Smart Mobility, Urban Development, Architecture & Design and Water.

In Saudi Arabia, Egis is producing the master plan for the development of Abha airport over the next 20 years and providing Project Management and Construction Management with its Partners for Metro Lines 1, 2 and 3. In Qatar Egis has strengthened its position as the leading railway consultant in the country through working as Project Consultant on majority of Doha metro project. In Kuwait Egis and Projacs International provide services on iconic projects: Construction Management Services for the Scientific Center Expansion Program, Contract Specifications and Tender Management in the form of a PPP (Public Private Partnership) for Kuwaiti residential city of South Jahra, Project Management services of the construction of Shatha Misk Hotel located in Sabah Al-Salem, as well as Feasibility Technical and financial studies for district cooling, developing zoning and building codes to be a foundation for the new smart cities in general and for South Al-Mutlaa. The presence in other countries such as Oman, Bahrain, Jordan, UAE is also strong.
The purpose of the study is to assess technically and financially the viability of the proposed water features (lakes, canals), considering the following aspects:
· potential water supply sources: identifying feasible and viable water sources including groundwater, rainfall, water coming from existing water treatment plants in the vicinity of Ghaf Hills’area and reuse of wastewater
· water balance including the storm water management system, groundwater management plan and the impacts of the evaporation losses
· water quality and functionality: the water used in Tilal Al Ghaf shall be treated according to the future use and the environmental condition. The processes are compliant with expected performances and treated water quality targets.
The study is conducted by Egis team from Qatar and France.
The FASEP Project lead by Egis and Vinci in Jordan came to a successful completion after a meeting at the Ministry of Water and Irrigation of Jordan on 17th January.
The results of the study were presented by Egis-Vinci to the Secretary General of Water Authority of Jordan, the head of Economic Service of the French Embassy as well as Project Directors from the Project Management Unit of Jordan and managers from the Yarmouk Water Company.
The Project Manager of Egis-Vinci’s consortium delivered the final report to the Operating Manager of Yarmouk Water Company.
On 10th December 2017 Dr. Ammar Hazem on behalf of First Qatar & Projacs International presented a certificate to Er. Nidal Hussein from Khayyat Contracting & Trading WLL (contractor) for achieving 5 mln accident free man hours.
Projacs International has been contracted by First Qatar Real Estate Development Co. to provides Project Management and Construction Supervision Consultancy Services for Hilton Panorama Residences and Suites, Abraj Quartier Tower–AQ07 and Town Houses.
The project started in September 2015 and is due for completion in December 2018.
