Congratulations to Projacs Kuwait for the contract for Consultancy Services For Project Management and Construction Management Services For Boubyan Bank's Headquarter Building!
Boubyan Bank, represented by Boubyan National Real Estate Services Company, decided to build its new headquarters office building that will accommodate up to 1,500 staff providing state of art facilities and latest technologies. The new building will be located in Sharq in Kuwait City on a plot with an area of 3,960 sqm.
The expected completion date is the end of 2023.
The project includes a report and technical due diligence to provide an overview of the technical and environmental conditions of the Buildings and investigates the feasibility of a construction according to Ministry of Foreign Affairs and HE Ambassador’s Requirements.
KSA Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine decided to dedicate the building adjacent to the main Embassy to the Consulate services.
The multilevel building must be renovated to the highest standards to provide right working environment for the Consulate staff and visitors. It must also match the style of the existing Embassy building, whilst being equipped with the most advances security systems according to the internal diplomatic standards.
The scope of design for renovation works of KSA annex building included the design of structural works, elevation works, interior finishing works, mechanical works including plumbing works, irrigation works, firefighting works,
electrical works including digital system works, fire alarm works, earthing works, power generator room extension, shelter renovation and utility provision works, CCTV system, access control and alarm system, fire detection & alarm system and loose furniture selection.
To respond to the water shortage concern, a seasonal storage lagoon has been proposed next to Al Rakhiya Farms outside of Doha, with area of 7.3 million sqm to store approximately 20 million cubic meters of water, required to manage seasonal variations in demand and emergency cases.
The surplus RW in winter will be pumped from Doha South and Doha West Sewage Treatment Plants to the seasonal storage lagoon through D-Line and existing C-Line respectively. These existing transfer pipelines are currently used to transfer RW from STPs to farms and demand sites at Qatar southwest areas. During summer, stored RW in seasonal storage lagoon will be pumped back after treatment to farms and demand sites surrounding the lagoon or to be connected to the RW network to support in required demands in the city.
This project will be implemented through a Design and Build Contract.
Egis and Projacs in Qatar received the Appreciation Award for their participation in Summer Internship Program organised by Qatar University as a result of signed Memorandum of Understanding.
In July 2018 eight students started their internship with Egis and Projacs and worked hand in hand engineers on various projects: Doha Metro project, Hilton Panorama, Airport Road Mix Use project and Al Rayyan Expressway project.
They represented electrical and civil engineering faculties and during the internship gained real work experience on live projects – this opportunity will enhance their chances for better jobs once they graduate.
The Award was presented by Professor Abdel Magid Hamouda, Ph.D. Acting Dean, College of Engineering at Qatar University.
Projacs has been awarded a contract for project and construction management services during the development of Dimas residential tower located in Al Taawoun in Sharjah.
The tower comprises ground floor with grand lobby, six levels of parking and residential apartments of one, two and three bedrooms, spread over 16 floors.

On 28th November Christian LAUGIER and Nasser KANAAN attended the official the opening of the “Pearling Path Visitor Center” in Bahrain.
The ceremony, organized by Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, under the patronage of Her Excellency Shaikha Mai Bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, gathered many noble guests, including Minister of Foreign Affairs HE The Minister of Foreign Affairs Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Jordan to Bahrain HE Rami Wriekat and Ambassador of Palestine to Bahrain HE Taha. M. Abdul-Qader.
The Pearling Path is a second UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bahrain. It takes guests on a journey through the historical times of pearling industry in Bahrain, leading through the collections of items and buildings, images and sounds.

Alexandre Busson, Egis Country Director for Qatar, presented Egis involvement in Qatar Economic Zone 3 (QEZ 3) to the French business delegation in Doha.
The presentation was delivered as part of the event organized by Qatar Free Zones Authority with the aim to introduce investment opportunities in the free zones to the visiting French companies.
The delegation, headed by MEDEF – French business movement, has over 750,000 member companies, thus provides the excellent business links between the countries and French based investors.
It was led by Mr. Guillaume PEPY, Chairman of the French-Qatari Committee in MEDEF, and HE Frank Gillet, French Ambassador to Doha.
Egis provides Detailed Design and Construction Supervision Consultancy Services for Um Alhoul Special Economic Zone (QEZ-3) for the Client – Manateq.
Umm Al Houl Special Economic Zone (QEZ-3) encompasses an area of approximately 29.3 km2, sited adjacent to Mesaieed Industrial City and the Hamad Port, targeting downstream and specialty Industrial (metal, marine, petrochemical, building materials, logistics, automotive, food processing etc) and supporting activities (worker’s accommodation, business park, commercial, community facility etc).
Egis has been awarded for “Design and Supervision Consultancy Services” for The New Cargo Area at Bahrain International Airport (BIA). The letter was signed by His Excellency Engineer Kamal bin Ahmed Mohamed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Mr. Mohamed Yousif AI-Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company and Mr. Mohamed Yousif AI-Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company. It was received by Jacques Khoriaty, Middle East & South Asia Aviation Director at Egis.
The continuous fast development of Cargo at the airport as well as the strategy of the Kingdom of Bahrain to reinforce its position as a key cargo hub for the region led Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) to take the decision to develop two cargo-logistic areas at Bahrain International Airport (BIA):
- New Cargo Area
- Cargo Logistics Center located south of the runway
The New Cargo Area will contain four warehouses that will support the growing express carrier operations at BIA with the new, effective infrastructure: cargo apron, taxiways and airside service roads; warehousing space, tenant support facilities and offices; landside truck access and parking; landside staging area; airside staging area for GSE vehicles; container and ground service equipment and landside staff and customer parking.
Egis team of experts will provide the support during all phases of the project: from master plan validation to construction supervision passing by the design.
The works are expected to start in January 2019.
Egis signed yet another contract with Public Works Authority - Ashghal in Qatar for sewage treatment plant, ennlarging the portfolio of water domain expertise in Middle East.
