Bahrain International Airport, established in 1920, continuously grew due to its convenient location for the midway stops between India and Asia, and Europe.
In 1994 the Airport received the new terminal which allowed the expansion of the handling capacity to 10 million passengers a year. Since then the vast development of the Kingdom of Bahrain, technological change and pursuit of innovation led Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) to take the decision to develop two cargo-logistic areas at Bahrain International Airport (BIA):
Cargo Express Village containing four warehouses of 4,700 sqm built-up area each will support the growing express carrier operations at BIA with the new, effective infrastructure:
Cargo Logistics Centre, located south of runway will consist of further one of 3,500 sqm built-up area.
