Egis takes part in TransMEA, Egypt’s biggest Transport Exhibition of the year

Egis takes part in the 4th Smart Transport, Logistics & Traffic Fair & Forum For The MEA Region, TransMEA, between the 7th and 10th of November.

Acknowledging the importance of this yearly event, we were pleased to welcome the Egis Rail global team joining the event from France, UAE and Egypt sharing their knowledge and expertise with numerous visitors.

During the opening Ceremony, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Egis, alongside their JV partner Setec, and The National Authority for Tunnels (NAT) for Greater Cairo Metro Line 6 Studies. It was signed with the attendance of the Egyptian Minister of Transport H.E. Kamel El Wazir and the Chairman of NAT, Dr Essam Wally. This materializes the launch of the Greater Cairo Metro Line 6 Project by the Egyptian government and entrusts Egis with the management of the studies.

Egis also took part in the TransMEA conference where Adil Guissi, the Executive Vice President, Middle East & Africa for Egis Rail was a panelist for the discussion on ‘Building the Future for Transport Infrastructures’ on the last day of the exhibition.

Egis’ participation at one the most significant transport exhibitions and conferences in the country brings to light its commitment for growth in Egypt in line with country’s vision and development.
