On the 7th of November, Egis participated in a 3-day conference and exhibition hosted by International Road Federation at the Dubai World Trade Center. This edition was the 18th one since 1952, and a key opportunity for Egis to stand out as one of the only consultancies to provide mobility, road, urban development industries services along the entire value chain. From Project Structuring, to Engineering, to Turnkey, to Operation and Maintenance, to Mobility Services, and finally, to Consultancy.
Egis took part in three separate speaker opportunities where our Business Development Director for Mobility and Urban services, Dr. Sascha Ruja, gave a workshop on ‘Parking for Smart Cities’ on the first day, in addition to a panel discussion on ‘The Future of Mobility Pricing & Road User Charging’ on the second day. In addition, our Egis Global CCO for Roads & Major Projects, Frederic Genty, spoke on ‘Road Procurement and Financing in the New Era’.. The topics were uniquely relevant to a wide cross-section of road mobility stakeholders, and focused on delivering solutions to the world’s pressing mobility questions.
Particular attention was paid to emerging challenges in this exhibition such as readying road infrastructure to autonomous vehicles, advanced travel demand management, safety of vulnerable road users, and energy-efficient infrastructure. This allowed participants and visitors to the Egis stand an opportunity to further their understanding of advanced road construction and mobility concepts in an immersive environment.
