The Saudi National Company of Aviation also known as Oxford Saudia, has an aviation academy at King Fahd International Airport (Dammam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) with various stages of development.
Oxford Saudia has already executed phase 1 of the apron suitable for code A planes (1.5 ha approx), with shaded structures, but it needs to connect this apron to the Taxiway J through the construction of the new Taxiway J4, perpendicular of Taxiway J. Expansion of this Apron is also part of the master plan (2 ha approx).
Egis has been tasked with design consultancy services and construction supervision of new Taxiway J4, apron extension and associated maneuvering areas at Dammam International Airport.
Detailed aeronautical risk assessment / simulation to be done due to the existing physical constraints from the existing shaded structures (aircraft max span limitations).
